Albion Indoor Netball: How It Works
With our indoor netball league here in Toombul, just a short drive from Albion, we have scaled social and competitive competitions available. If you’re not familiar with indoor netball, it’s fairly similar to the traditional game. The playing area is surrounded by net, so the ball can’t leave play. The players on each side are reduced from seven players to six, switching that centre portion of players from three to two players.
Why Indoor Netball?
Indoor netball is a fast-paced, fun game that translates well as a social sport but works just as well competitively. The net surrounds eliminate the ball leaving play, saving on stoppages and speeding up the game. As well as that, you’ll never get rained out of game day… In fact, the weather’s interference with the game is almost eliminated. Our indoor sports centre is better equipped to keep cool in summer and warm in winter.
Social or Serious Sport: Get Fit, Have Fun
Indoor netball is excellent socially or seriously. If you’re looking for a fun way to keep fit and make new friends, our social league is perfect for you. If you’re looking for a more competitive outlet, you can join the Super League to represent the Toombul Tigers.
Albion Indoor Netball: Host An Event
Our indoor sports centre is perfect for events too. Whether it’s a kids birthday party, a corporate function, or something entirely different, we’re able to tailor our event hire to your needs. Select your preferred activities and whether you’ll be needing catering and bar service and we’ll take care of the rest.
Albion Indoor Netball: Court Hire
If you’re looking for somewhere to have a run around with friends, need a wet weather backup for training, or you need a court for a workshop or something similar, we can personalise a court hire package to you. Just get in touch with our team to discuss your requirements for the hire, like how long you’ll need it for and whether you’ll be in need of equipment and umpires for that time.

Albion Indoor Netball: Your FAQs
Each game will have four eight-minute quarters, with 15 to 30 second breaks. We’d suggest allowing at least an hour for your game, factoring in stoppages.
Pretty similar yeah! Indoor netball reduces the team from seven players to six. This means that the centre portion of players is reduced. So, rather than a Centre, Wing Attack, and Wing Defence, you have two general Centre players.
You can bring along as many friends as you like or none at all. Join an existing team on your own or join with friends. Or, bring along a team full of friends to create your own team.
